Under-spec board density
Lower-density XPS or rockwool sold against a higher grade — performance drops, but the label often looks correct.
Thin membranes
1.5 mm bitumen quoted, 1.2 mm shipped. The difference is invisible on the roll but cuts service life in half.

Products labelled fire-rated without a current EN 13501-1 or Civil Defence certificate behind the claim.
